UCI Services - General Information
This year, Geelong will welcome the 2010 UCI Road World Championships bringing some of the best riders in the world to compete in Australia. The event will be held over five days of competition from 29 September to 3 October. There is an event familiarisation day on 28 September.
During the event, major bus route changes will take place in Geelong due to the high number of road closures. Local bus services will run on revised routes for the duration of the event. Buses will run later than normal and extra services have been scheduled.
We are doing our best to keep service disruptions to a minimum. Please allow extra time for your journey, especially if you wish to connect to a train, as the road network is expected to be busier than usual.

Central Geelong Bus Stops / Interchanges
The current bus stops in central Geelong will be replaced by two bus interchanges running throughout the event.
The west interchange is running from Little Malop Street (between Gheringhap Street and Fenwick Street (Johnstone Park). The east interchange is running from the current site in Little Malop Street (rear of Officeworks, between Yarra Street and Bellerine Street). There will be way-finding signage to help you find the interchanges and connect with local bus services.
Northern Bus Routes
Due to the race entering Geelong on the Princes Highway on the morning of Sunday 3 October, bus routes 10, 12, 21, 30, 45 (North Shore to Geelong only), 50, and 51 will not run between 10.30am and 12pm. If you wish to travel Sunday morning, catch a bus before or after these times.
