McHarry’s will now operate two services in Grovedale. They will be numbered route 19 and 20. Once they depart Geelong Station, they will travel via the city then via Moorabool St to Belmont. The services will then continue to Marshall Station via Surfcoast Hwy. From this point they will both take different routes through Grovedale and end up at Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre then through to Deakin University. See the maps below to see the new routes.
Moruya Dr & Gloucester St customers will catch Bender’s route 14 service from Deakin University to Geelong via Waurn Ponds.
McHarry's will continue to operate the Torquay services via Surf Coast Hwy, however they will no longer deviate through Grovedale because of the increased service levels on routes 19 & 20. This will decrease travel time between Geelong and Torquay.
Now Grovedale residents have direct access to Marshall Station, as well as Waurn Ponds shopping centre and Deakin University. These services, routes 19 & 20, will also service the new Waurn Ponds leisure centre.
Departs from the terminus at Geelong Station and runs via Fenwick St, Ryrie St, Yarra St, Myers St, Moorabool St, High St, Corio St, Torquay Rd, Surfcoast Hwy and Marshalltown Rd to Marshall Station; then via Marshalltown Rd, Bailey St, Reserve Rd, Burleigh Dr, Hansen Dr, Perrett St, Surfcoast Hwy, Heyers Rd, Rossack Dr, Meadowvale Dr, Pioneer Rd, Princes Hwy, Pigdons Rd and Deakin Av to the terminus at Deakin University.
Departs from the terminus at Deakin University and runs via
the reverse of the route described above to Moorabool St, then
via Malop St, Mercer St and Railway Tce to the terminus at
Geelong Station.
Times shown with ‘G’ travel via Grovedale Secondary College on school days only.
Buses operate to a Sunday timetable on public holidays except Christmas Day when there is no service.
