NEW EAST GEELONG WEST GEELONG SERVICE

ROUTE 40, 41, 42, 43, 45 & 49

After customer feedback, traffic congestion and increased customer levels, our 40, 41, 42, 43, 45 & 49 services are about to have an upgrade.

On Monday 1^st of September, McHarry’s will launch a new service that will service North Shore, Corio Shopping Centre, Cloverdale Estate, Anakie Rd, Pakington St, Geelong Railway Station, Geelong City, Geelong Hospital Bellarine Village and East Geelong all in one service.

The new service will combine services from routes 40, 41, 42, 43, 45 & 49 and will now be called route 45. This will make it easier for customers travelling through the city to other locations. Now East Geelong residents can travel on the same bus using the same timetable to Corio Shopping Centre and North Shore residents can travel across town on one bus to Bellarine Village. We have also adjusted times and moved some trips to help keep the bus on time, assist in some overloading issues and meet customer requirements. We have also included a new 6:35pm trip from Geelong Railway Station to East in the new timetable after receiving customer feedback.

In addition to this all Saturday afternoon trips, excluding Corio trips, will service both Rollins Road and Donnybrook Road. This will greatly assist customers on Saturday afternoons who are travelling to this area.

With the introduction of the new 45 service, McHarrys will also be launching a new pocket format timetable.  This pocket style timetable has been a big success in Melbourne and other cities around Australia. Now you will be able to carry the timetable with you all the time in your wallet or pocket. This service will also appear in the booklet timetable which will also be reprinted. 

This new timetable will commence on Monday, 1^st of September 2008. Timetables are now available on line (click here). Printed copies are available from the depot or our drivers.
