Transit System - Ticketing Information
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2008.

The Bellarine Transit System uses a zoned fare structure (zone boundaries shown
below), as well as the GTS Ticketing System for passengers travelling to GTS
areas.
The following schedule sets out fares for GTS, BTS + GTS (travelling from BTS
area to GTS area), BTS Only (travel only within Bellarine Transit Area).
Tickets can be used for
unlimited travel on any service within the zones specified on the ticket until
the ticket’s expiry time (see ticket validation below).

Ticket Validation
A 2 Hour ticket as is valid for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 hours
and can be used for unlimited travel in the appropriate zones until the expiry
time. A ticket issued after 6 pm is
valid until 3am the next day.
A Daily ticket is valid on the day of issue for unlimited travel in the
appropriate zones until 3 am the next day.
A Weekly ticket can be used for unlimited travel within the appropriate
zones for seven consecutive days from the date of issue and expires at 3 am on
the 8th day.
Other Information
Adult Fares are payable by any person 15 years or over who doesn't
present a card eligible for Transport Concession.
Concession Fares are available to passengers 4 to 14 years old, or those
with a concession card eligible for Transport Concession. Examples of these are
PTC Student Concession Card, Seniors Card, Pension Card, Health Care Card.
Free Travel is available to children under 4 years, Blind pass holders,
TPI Card holders.
Most tickets for V/Line services to Torquay and tickets for Bellarine Transit
services to Torquay are interchangeable.
Students in the GTS zone can purchase a GTS Student Bus Pass which is
either valid for 1 year ($314.90) or 1/2 year ($164.80). These can be used on
any service 365 days a year and can be purchased from Geelong Railway Station.
Primary or Secondary School Students in the Bellarine Transit Area can purchase
or may be eligible for a government subsidised Bellarine Transit Bus Pass.
These can only be used on services to and from school morning and afternoon.
Unlike GTS bus passes they cannot be used on weekends or school holidays.
Tickets are not transferable.
A valid ticket must be produced on demand, if not a new fare is payable.
